Hello K Friends! Do you like Korean side dishes? Stir-fried fish cake is one of the most popular side dishes in Korea. So, it's a side dish that you can see often when you go to a Korean restaurant. It's easy to make so I hope you like today's recipe.

Eomuk Bokkeum


Ingredients: 250g of square fish cake, 1/2 onion, 1/2 carrot, and 1 pepper, 2T cooking oil, 1/2T minced garlic

Sauce: 3T soy sauce, 3T cooking wine, 1T sugar, 1T honey, 1T sesame oil, 1T sesame seeds, a bit of pepper

How To Make It

Step 1: Preparing fish cake

Before fish cake is bought, it is already fried in oil, so it's good to remove the oil on the outside. Blanch it in boiling water. 

And wash it in cold water. Then the texture will become chewy.

Step 2: Cutting ingredients

Cut the onions thinly. 

Cut the carrots thinly. And julienne it thinly. 

Slice the chili pepper thinly. 

Slice the fish cake thinly, too.

Step 3: Stir-fried fish cake

Add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil to the preheated pan. Add 1/2T of minced garlic and stir-fry it. 

Put in the fish cake. 

Add onions. Add carrots. Stir-fry over medium high heat for about 2 minutes. 

Add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce. 

Add 3 tablespoons of cooking wine. If you don't have it, add 3 tablespoons of water. 

Add 1 tablespoon of sugar. 

Add a bit of ground pepper. Mix the seasoning well. When it's fried to a certain extent, add green chili pepper for taste and color. Stir-fry it for another minute. Turn off the heat in a minute.

Add 1 tablespoon of honey. 

Add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. 

Lastly, add 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds. Mix it well. Popular Korean side dish, stir-fried fish cake is done!
