AMAZING Korean Kimchi!

Korean Fish cake kimbap recipe!😍😋

 Fish Cake Kimbap

Hello everybody! Recently, I wanted to eat kimbap, so I was thinking about what kind of kimbap could be made with only simple ingredients I already had at home, so I made this kimbap. It's fish cake kimbap! The ingredients are so simple, but also very delicious. Hope you enjoy this recipe!

Ingredients: 6 sheets of fish cake, 1/4 pickled radish (optional), 5 sheets of seaweed paper

Sauce: 3T soy sauce, 2T cooking wine, 1T red pepper powder, 1.5T sugar, 1T sesame oil, 1/2T garlic

How to make it

Step 1: Preparing Fish Cake

Prepare fish cake with square fish cake.

If you want to cook fish cake more deliciously, it is good to remove the oil by blanching it in hot water. If that's inconvenient, you can just pour hot water on it. Even after soaking in hot water and taking out oil, a lot of oil still came out. Then rinse in cold water and drain the water.

You can slice the fish cake as you like, but I will slice it thinly. If you have pickled radish at home, shred it thinly. If you don't have it, you can omit it. It's delicious even if you just add fish cakes.

Step 2: Stir-frying fish cake

Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the pan. Add half a tablespoon of garlic. Fry it well over medium heat. Add sliced fish cakes. Fry well. Add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 and half a tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of cooking wine, 1 tablespoon of red pepper powder. Mix well. Stir-fry over medium heat until the moisture is gone. Turn off the heat and add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Stir-fry it.

Step 3: Seasoning the Rice

Put 2 bowls of rice in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to the rice, about 2 pinches of salt, and add a bit of sesame seeds. Mix well.

If you don't have rice, you can simply use instant rice (cooked white rice).

Step 4: Making Kimbap

Spread the rice thinly. Leave some at the end. Put the pickled radish a little. Put some fish cakes. Then, wrap all the ingredients around, press gently and continue to roll the kimbap tightly so the ingredients don’t fall out. Apply sesame oil on the kimbap. Lastly, sprinkle with sesame seeds. Slice the kimbap. Very tasty fish cake kimbap is done!

Although kimbap is delicious, I think it is a dish that needs lots of ingredients and requires a lot of effort. However, the ingredients for the fish cake kimbap are very simple, so it's great to make at any time. Hope you give it a try! I'll see you next week. Thank you! Bye bye!

Ingredients

  • 6 sheets of fish cake
  • 1/4 pickled radish (optional)

Notes

  • After blanching the fish cake, it becomes much chewier and more delicious. And the seasoning is better later.
  • Leave some at the end of the seaweed paper. If you do this, the rice will not come out when you roll the kimbap.
