Shrimp Rice Paper Dumplings

I previously made a video about rice paper dumplings, and I'm truly grateful that many of you liked it! So today, I'm going to introduce a new and delicious rice paper dumpling recipe you'll want to keep making it! Hope you enjoy this recipe!🥰

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz (300g) shrimp
  • a handful chives
  • 1 egg
  • a little carrot, (optional)
  • 2T potato starch

 Seasoning:

  • 0.5T oyster sauce
  • 0.5T sesame oil
  • a little pepper
  • 1t minced garlic
  • 1t sugar

Instructions

Remove the tails from the shrimp and wash them. Chop them finely.

Chop the chives and carrots finely.

Put the chopped shrimp, chives, and carrots in a large bowl. Add

  • 2T potato starch powder
  • 1/2T oyster sauce
  • 1/2T sesame oil
  • 1t minced garlic
  • A bit pepper
  • 1t sugar
  • 1 egg. Mix well.

Soak the rice paper in cold water.

Put about 1 large tablespoon of the prepared filling on it. Fold one side and fold the other side. Fold the other side as well. Make the rest in the same way.

Pour about 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Place the rice paper dumplings one by one. Cook on medium heat for about 3 minutes until the filling is cooked and golden brown. After 3 minutes, flip them over.

Once both sides are well cooked, they are ready to be served.

Very savory and crispy rice paper dumpling is done!

They taste great on their own. If you want to dip them in a sauce, mix

  • 1T soy sauce
  • 1/2T vinegar
  • a little gochugaru, sesame seeds, and sugar.

Notes

  • Carrots are optional.
  • Cornstarch can substitute for potato starch.
  • Replace oyster sauce with a bit of soy sauce if unavailable.
  • To prevent tearing and ease wrapping, soak rice paper in cold water until soft.
  • It's good to leave a little space between them so they don't stick together.
