Spicy Pork Stir-Fried Rice Paper Rolls |
Today, we're introducing a
spicy pork rice paper roll recipe that will captivate your taste buds. Fresh
vegetables and spicy stir-fried pork are wrapped in rice paper, creating a
perfect harmony of flavors and textures. This simple yet special dish is great
for lunch, dinner, or even as a party food.
Ingredients
- 12 large rice papers
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper
- ½ carrot
- ½ onion
- 12 lettuce
- 1lb. pork
- some green onions
- some boiled shrimp (optional)
Fish Sauce
- 1T fish sauce
- 1T lemon juice or vinegar
- 1T water
- 1t minced garlic
- A bit chopped red chili pepper
- A bit green onion
- 1/2T honey
- A bit sesame seeds (optional)
- 2T peanut butter
- 1T mayonnaise
- 1T lemon juice or vinegar
- 1/2T soy sauce
- 1t minced garlic
- 1t honey
- 1T gochugaru (red pepper flakes)
- 2T gochujang
- 1T cooking wine
- 2T corn syrup
- 1T oyster sauce
- 1T minced garlic
- 1/2t minced ginger
- a little pepper
- 1T sugar
- 1T soy sauce
Instructions
Spicy Pork (Stir-fried spicy
pork)
Thinly slice the pork. Add 1T
sugar, 1T soy sauce, and pepper. Mix well. Marinate for 10 minutes.
Making the sauce: Combine 1T
gochugaru, 2T gochujang, 1T cooking wine, 2T corn syrup, 1T oyster sauce (or
soy sauce), 1T minced garlic, 1/2 tsp minced ginger, and pepper. Mix well.
After 10 minutes, heat 1T oil in a pan and stir-fry the marinated pork on high heat. Once partially cooked, add the sauce and continue to stir-fry. Near the end, add onion and green onions, then sprinkle with some sesame seeds. Delicious spicy and savory pork is ready!
Fish Sauce: Chop a bit of hot pepper and green onion finely. Put 1T fish sauce, 1T water or apple juice, 1T lemon juice or vinegar, 1tsp minced garlic, and 1/2T honey or sugar. Optionally, add a bit of sesame seeds. Mix well.
For peanut sauce: Put 2T peanut butter, 1T lemon juice or vinegar, 1tsp minced garlic, 1/2T soy sauce, 1/2T honey or sugar, and 1T mayonnaise. Mix well.
Vegetable Preparation: Thinly slice the red and yellow bell peppers, half an onion, and carrot into thin strips. Slice cucumber into thin strips. Wash lettuce and remove excess water.
Rolling the Rice Paper: Soak
rice paper in cold water and shake off excess. Place lettuce, spicy stir-fried
pork, and vegetables on the rice paper. Roll from the bottom up, folding in the
sides. Roll to the end.
Shrimp Version: Place lettuce and sliced vegetables on the rice paper. Partially cover with rice paper, add three shrimps, fold sides, and roll up completely.
Dip in sauce or cut in half to eat.
Serve with fish sauce or top with peanut sauce for a delicious meal.
