Jjajang Pasta
Ingredients: (For 1 Serving)
- 3.5 oz (100 g) spaghetti
- 1/2 small onion
- Some cabbage
- A little cucumber (optional)
- 6-7 medium shrimp
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3T jjajang powder (black bean powder)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2T olive or avocado oil
Instructions
Thinly slice the onion and
cabbage. Slice cucumber for garnish (optional). Cut shrimp in half. Mince
garlic.
Boil water with 1/2 tablespoon
of salt. Cook 3.5 oz (100 g) spaghetti for 9 minutes or as per package
instructions.
In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons
of olive oil. Stir-fry garlic until fragrant. Add onion and cabbage, stir-fry
until onion is translucent. Add shrimp and 1/2 tablespoon of soy sauce, mix
well.
Add 3 tablespoons of jjajang
powder, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and stir-fry. Add 1 cup water. Mix well and boil
for 2-3 minutes.
After 9 minutes, drain
spaghetti and add to the pan. Mix well.
Turn off heat, add a little
sesame oil for flavor. Plate the pasta and pour the rest of the ingredients
over it. Garnish with a little of cucumber if desired. Flavorful and savory jjajang
pasta!
