Crispy Fried Dumplings |
Hello, K Friends! Today,
I’ll show you how to make crispy fried dumplings that everyone will love!
They’re the perfect appetizer for holiday parties or special occasions. I’ll
also share some easy tips to make them at home. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 8 oz (230 g) pork (or chicken)
- 7 oz (200 g) tofu (half a block)
- 2 oz (60 g) kimchi
- 3 green onions
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the
Ingredients
Start with 8 oz of ground pork
or use chicken or shrimp if you prefer. Squeeze out the water from half a block
of tofu to keep the filling from getting soggy.
Step 2: Season the Filling
Mix the pork and tofu with:
- ½ tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tbsp oyster sauce
- ½ tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- A little grated ginger
- 3 pinches black pepper
- ½ tbsp sesame oil Stir everything together until well combined.
Step 3: Add Flavor and
Texture
Finely chop rinsed kimchi,
squeeze out the water, and add it to the filling. Thinly slice 2–3 green onions
and mix them in too.
Step 4: Prepare the Wrappers
Thaw dumpling wrappers at
room temperature for about 1 hour.
Step 5: Assemble the
Dumplings
Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of a wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold in half, and press tightly to seal.
Step 6: Boil the Dumplings
Boil the dumplings in hot
water until they float to the top. Drain them well and let them cool on
parchment paper.
Step 7: Fry the Dumplings
Heat 1 cup of oil in a pan.
Dry the dumplings well to avoid splattering. Fry them until golden brown on
both sides, flipping halfway through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Step 8: Make the Dipping
Sauce
Mix 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp
vinegar, 1 tsp honey, and ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional). Add sliced green
onion and stir.
Step 9: Serve
Serve the crispy dumplings
with the dipping sauce. Enjoy—they’re crunchy on the outside and juicy inside! 😊
